We met Susan working in her garden, in Baltimore. We began, just chatting about plants and our old stone houses. Soon, we were visiting, examining one another’s antiques and Susan’s artwork. It didn’t take long for us to be out and about visiting nurseries, always buying more plants. We took a long drive up into Pennsylvania to visit Hosta Hideaway. We came home with our Jeep filled with hostas, and plenty to plant in Susan’s expanding garden. I must say, Susan’s garden at the end of the lane is beautiful, growing, just as Susan would want.
