Sue and I took a couple of workshops together offered by plein air painters. It was not uncommon for the teachers to offer their paintings for sale to their students at the end of the workshop. Sue would occasionally buy one, but in the case of Kevin McPherson, a well known and celebrated teacher and artist, he purchased one of hers, a testament to Sue’s fine painting skills.

Good catch! Thank you!
We will look for a way to remove the image... unfortunately there isn't an "edit post" function, as far as we've been able to find yet.
Wish we could find the right one to go with the story.
I believe this is a photo of Charles Sovek, another artist that Sue and I studied with. The incident about McPherson purchasing one of Sue’s painting in his workshop is true and extraordinary, and it attests to the skill she displayed in her work and the appreciation that other very well established artists had for that skill.
